8 year old, Vader & Luke were taken to a vets to be put to sleep by their elderly owner.
They’re healthy boys apart from Vader having mites so thankfully the vets arranged to have them signed over to us.

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month February 2021
We'd like to enter Zizi, who arrived with us at the end of last year as an unwanted pet. He's such a lovely boy, we can't understand why his previous owner clearly no longer liked him. He's had a bit of a rough time since arriving, requiring a dental and complete diet overhaul. I've never seen such terrible bunny poops. All of this change sparked a flare up of EC and Zizi became very poorly very quickly. We were incredibly frightened for a while that we may lose him before his new life was even able to start. But our little lad wasn't ready to give up and he's on the mend! He's a darling for his panacur and takes it out the syringe without a fuss. He's improving everyday day and will be heading out on Foster with a member of the team who will be able to keep him inside with plenty of space and attention until he's well enough to be neutered and start looking for a special forever home. We all love Zizi, he's a true bunny hero and just loves everyone here, especially if you have an extra treat for him.

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month February 2021
We would like to enter Frazzle for the bunny of the month.
I took Frazzle and her sister (Fraggle) on from a breeder at 5 weeks of age, after they were both attacked by their mum. Fraggle was so badly injured (all legs broken) that unfortunately we had to put her to sleep. Frazzle had both ears, left back foot and her tail bitten off. Straight to vets, vet gave her less than 5% chance of surviving. I choose to try and so we operated to try and repair the damage. She got through the GA, she then started baytril, metacam and again the vets said she wont make it to 8 weeks.. she is now 8 years old! every 7 days she has to have her ears flushed due to the abscesses in both ear stumps. She has had every antibiotic on the planet and the only thing it did was to make her ill. So we now manage with flushes and lots of care. She is an amazing, loving, affectionate little rabbit. She has recently started to struggle with sticky bottom and has lost her appetite on a couple of occasions. A couple of times I have thought " here we go, its time" but 24 hrs later Frazzle is as bright as a button! She is so very special xx
Frazzle lives in our hospital building with all the other rabbits that can't be rehomed due to ongoing health problems.

Our beautiful Frazzel. We just love her strength.
Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month February 2021
Windwhistle warren would like to nominate, Cody, he was one of many rabbits from a hoarding situation. He has a cataract in one eye, and, regrettably, our vet is sure he will develop ulevitis. He is an older buck and will need a very special home. He is a very friendly bun, and although his eyesight is bad, his hearing isn't so doesn't miss out when there is a treat bag about.

Beloved Rabbits would like to nominate Peter Capaldi this month, who was sadly surrendered to us due to ongoing dental issues when his family was no longer able to meet his care needs. His dental disorder meant that he was having to undergo treatment every 2 weeks to keep his teeth trimmed, and upon vet advice we booked him in for full removal of his front teeth. Thankfully, the operation was successful and he's home recovering with his foster carer and healing nicely. Once he's fully recovered, we hope to match this lovely boy up to a forever home with a bunny companion.
