Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.
Only one entry per Rescue please.
Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group that live together.
The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of March.
From this month we are changing the winners prize from a £20 supermarket voucher to £20 worth of items to be sent to the Rescue such as Panacur, Fibreplex, critical care, snugglesafes and similar things that all rabbit/guinea pig Rescues use/need.
If anyone needs help uploading photos to the forum please let me know.

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month March 2018

This is Georgy-Peorgy-Pudding-and-Pie, such a gorgeous little bunny and who can believe that he has been here at Windwhistle for over a year???!!! Cannot imagine why someone would not snap him up (have to confess to being tempted to try to bond him with my two boys!!).
Poor George was a Pets at Home bunny who was adopted with another buck. Sadly but probably naturally, they both fought and their owners could not cope so George came to Windwhistle in the hope of finding his forever home. He is a very timid little bunny but a dear little soul. George is very timid, he would love to be Rabbit of the Month for Windwhistle.

What a gorgeous boy Georgy-porgy Pudding is
I would like to put forward one of our guinea pigs Time
He came in as part of a group of boars who had been put together even though fighting
A cheeky lad who is neutered and waiting for a home, being fostered for us by Tracy at Rugby

This little one (Lopsie) is no more than 5/6 weeks old found wondering the streets - of course door knocking didn't come up with any owners stepping forward.
He's settled in straight away to Warwickshire Rabbit & Guinea Pig SOS rescue and already has Caroline wrapped round his little paw
He (or she - to young to be sure) will stay with us until old enough to be neutered then we will try to find him a family to call his own xx

This is Smarties. She’s a two year old female Dutch Bunny. When she first arrived at our rescue (Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care) she was approximately three times her ideal weight. Her previous owner loved her very much but unfortunately wasn’t educated on the proper diet needed for a rabbit and she was fed lots of treats every day. Smarties' is currently living with one of our experienced foster carers who has been working hard to encourage Smarties to exercise and has put her on a diet. Smarties is doing really well on her diet and has lost almost 30% of her excess body weight since arriving at at the rescue. Once she gets to a healthy weight Smarties will be spayed and then we will be looking to find her a husbun to live happily ever after with.

Re: Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month March 2018
THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF TAMESIDE RABBIT RESCUE
This is hoppy. He was dumped at the rescue early Monday morning and was found in a cat carrier at the door. When we found him it was evident he had a sore hind leg as it was very red and weepy. Upon closer inspection we found a breeders ring on his leg which was digging in and stopping the circulation.
We rushed him straight to the vets where they kept in for observation and a decision was made the following day to amputate his leg.
His surgery went without complication and he was able to come back to the rescue two days later. He is now recovering with medication at the rescue where he will stay for the foreseeable future.
