Finally(and with apologies for lateness

) I have Daisy's pics of her travels around Australia and New Zealand with me, in various trains and boats and planes.
Here's Daisy on the island of Pago Pago, Samoa.
she was surprised to see the advice for earthquakes.- Drop, Cover........and
Hold on!
Daisy loved the Jean Haydon Museum showing the history and culture of the island . She thought the baskets were ideal for bunnies though the straw was a bit scratchy and it could do with one of Hunnybunnys blankets

.
and here's Daisy in New Zealand.

...............first she travelled to North Island...
Here she is in Auckland looking at the Sky Tower, though didn't see anyone bungee jumping off it- (it was rather windy that day)..
Daisy saw the Naval Dockyard at Devonport
Daisy went to see a Maori show and was lucky enough to meet the Maori warrior and his wife afterwards ( who were genuinely Maori people). (I think she's turned away as the warrior's loin cloth was rather authentic!

)
next part of North Island was Wellington, the capital of New Zealand......
Daisy liked the cable car ride ... though the pink flashing lights in the tunnels were a bit dazzling!!
Here she is .....
The view of Wellington from the top was super, then Daisy walked back down into the city though the beautiful

scented Botanical Gardens. Daisy said she liked tulips and had seen them before, when staying with other hosts.
Then Daisy travelled to South Island New Zealand, Dunedin to take a scenic flight over Mount Cook and the glaciers
Daisy sat in the back of the little plane with Sue, while Sue's hubby sat next to the pilot, Hamish. Hamish gave us a safety brief saying the black handle opened the door... and to exit via the window... just kick the window out!.... Daisy pondered

under what circumstances she might want to kick the window out

and whether her furry little legs would manage it

... (Sue also wondered if
her furry little legs would manage it!

)
It was a new and rather scary

experience for Sue, flying high over the mountains but Daisy tried to reassure her.

Daisy of course had climbed Mount Kilimanjaro earlier this year

so had a head for heights and was enjoying the view

as Hamish pointed out the mountains where they filmed Lord of the Rings.

Daisy could see Mount Cook in the distance and was looking forward to seeing the glaciers, but as the plane climbed higher and the air got colder Sue got more scared

and needed the loo

.

So Hamish took the plane down and landed perfectly

on the very last strip of grass to the right, before the foreboding mountain range

, for Sue to have a

cuppa to steady her nerves

in the cafe of a sheep shearing station(and also the loo

).Sue didn't want to get back in the plane but Hamish was very calm and he and Daisy persauded her... (also since the only way to get back would have been to drive a 4hr trip...and there was no bus or car!!)
Daisy was a bit disappointed not to see or get pics of the glaciers for Pledge a Pound

, though Sue enjoyed the flight back

.
Australia pics tomorrow......
