Finally(and with apologies for lateness :ymblushing: ) I have Daisy's pics of her travels around Australia and New Zealand with me, in various trains and boats and planes. :)

Here's Daisy on the island of Pago Pago, Samoa.

Image

she was surprised to see the advice for earthquakes.- Drop, Cover........and Hold on!

Image

Daisy loved the Jean Haydon Museum showing the history and culture of the island . She thought the baskets were ideal for bunnies though the straw was a bit scratchy and it could do with one of Hunnybunnys blankets ;) .

Image Image

Image

Image

and here's Daisy in New Zealand. :) ...............first she travelled to North Island...

Here she is in Auckland looking at the Sky Tower, though didn't see anyone bungee jumping off it- (it was rather windy that day)..

Image

Daisy saw the Naval Dockyard at Devonport

Image

Daisy went to see a Maori show and was lucky enough to meet the Maori warrior and his wife afterwards ( who were genuinely Maori people). (I think she's turned away as the warrior's loin cloth was rather authentic! :ymblushing: :)) )

Image

Image

next part of North Island was Wellington, the capital of New Zealand......

Daisy liked the cable car ride ... though the pink flashing lights in the tunnels were a bit dazzling!! B-)
Here she is .....
Image
Image

Image

The view of Wellington from the top was super, then Daisy walked back down into the city though the beautiful @};- scented Botanical Gardens. Daisy said she liked tulips and had seen them before, when staying with other hosts. :)
Image

Image

Then Daisy travelled to South Island New Zealand, Dunedin to take a scenic flight over Mount Cook and the glaciers

Daisy sat in the back of the little plane with Sue, while Sue's hubby sat next to the pilot, Hamish. Hamish gave us a safety brief saying the black handle opened the door... and to exit via the window... just kick the window out!.... Daisy pondered :-? under what circumstances she might want to kick the window out :-? and whether her furry little legs would manage it :-s ... (Sue also wondered if her furry little legs would manage it! :)) )

Image

It was a new and rather scary :-s experience for Sue, flying high over the mountains but Daisy tried to reassure her.
Image
Daisy of course had climbed Mount Kilimanjaro earlier this year (*) so had a head for heights and was enjoying the view :-bd as Hamish pointed out the mountains where they filmed Lord of the Rings.
Image
Daisy could see Mount Cook in the distance and was looking forward to seeing the glaciers, but as the plane climbed higher and the air got colder Sue got more scared :-ss and needed the loo :-o .
Image
So Hamish took the plane down and landed perfectly :) on the very last strip of grass to the right, before the foreboding mountain range :ymapplause: , for Sue to have a ~o) cuppa to steady her nerves :-ss :-ss in the cafe of a sheep shearing station(and also the loo #:-s ).Sue didn't want to get back in the plane but Hamish was very calm and he and Daisy persauded her... (also since the only way to get back would have been to drive a 4hr trip...and there was no bus or car!!)
Daisy was a bit disappointed not to see or get pics of the glaciers for Pledge a Pound :( , though Sue enjoyed the flight back :) .

Daisy's pics in Australia at last :) . ( I borrowed someones ipad for the holiday so had to wait for them to transfer my pics.)

Daisy in Sydney...

She saw the famous Sydney Opera House
Image

and Sydney Harbour Bridge
Image

Daisy also saw some aborigines playing the digeridoo
Image

and lots of digeridoos in the shops but decided not to buy one
Image

Daisy was a bit wary of the long beaked birds in the park there though!
Image

and was pleased to ride the Sydney train to the airport to catch the flight to Cairns
Image

when Daisy got to Cairns she thought it was time for a little relaxation in the hotel. Daisy heard that you couldn't swim in the sea because ofthe crocodiles but she didn't care as she reminded me "rabbits don't swim" and stayed firmly on the side of the Lido.
Image
Image

She also decided to stay firmly on board when she visited the Great Barrier Reef
she could see the reef and look at the map
Image
Image

Daisy sailed past Lucinda Jetty which has the world’s longest offshore sugar loading facility,
a jetty that stretches almost 6km out to sea and follows the curve of the earth.
Image

Daisy was delighted when the Captain said she could sit in his chair and use his binoculars
Image
Image

Daisy made a stop at Cooktown to visit the Captain Cook Museum there.
Image

We were told that kangaroos graze outside the museum but Daisy was disappointed that
there were none there when she visited..she had her pic taken with Capt Cook's statue instead, but grumbled it wasn't the same!
Image

Soon it was time for Daisy to fly home. When she stopped in Hong Kong airport to change planes
Image

she had her photo taken next to a statue in the airport made from tins of tuna..
No signs in English to explain why- so anyone's guess why tuna tins? :))
Image

She asked me about the people wearing facemasks in Hong Kong airport and I told her they didn't want to catch diseases. Daisy said she's up to date
with her annual Myxi/VHD combi vaccination so she wasn't worried :)

Soon it was time to board the plane home and Daisy had a good view of Darwin and the north coast of Australia.
Image
then one last look at the land as Daisy flew over somewhere in Indonesia
Image

as the sun set and Daisy returned to the UK she looked forward to many more adventures in the future.
