Casper's full blood results are back now, vet says it's very likely he has EC and he has raised kidney levels, I'm not too sure what the implications of this are? Vet wants to see him again this week so I've made an appointment for Friday morning.

On the plus side Daisy & Casper were both eating their pellets as normal from their food bowl this evening as soon as I put it down this hasn't happened for a week or more now so I am very pleased their appetites are getting back to normal for the minute

A healthy appetite is always a good sign, plus they will recover quicker if they are eating properly. Pleased to hear they're picking up and I hope all goes well at the vet's on Friday.

Casper is doing OK, the vet examined his eye on Friday and said its getting better but but not back to normal yet so have to continue with the 2 lots of eyedrops 3 times a day for the next 2 weeks and then he wants to slowly wean him off them. Still on Baytril, Metacam and will have the 28 day course of Panacur.

Vet ran through his last blood tests with me and said he has inflamation in his body, he is on Metacam for this, his kidney levels are high which could mean he was dehydrated at the time, 1 of the 2 EC things they test for was normal and the other was sky high the likelihood of him having EC is therefore very likely. He is booked to go back in to the vets on Thursday to have a 2nd blood test and they will compare the 2 and give a definite result.
Luckily Petplan have already authorised payment of his treatment so far so I will be able to claim for the 2nd test on his insurance too.
