Frances Harcourt-Brown Owners' Days 2016 - details/booking info

Post by Binky »

Hi Guys

I just wanted to spread the word on this latest venture from Frances Harcourt-Brown (Recognised Specialist in Rabbit Medicine and Surgery). Since her retirement from general practice she has set up training for vets and vet nurses, a comprehensive course is available to get the country's vets rabbit savvy.

There is also potential for her running some sessions for RABBIT OWNERS if there is enough demand for it. She is asking for feedback from those potentially interested as to what topics we would like to have covered. If anybody is interested then PLEASE submit some ideas so that she knows there is interest and demand for this:

https://www.harcourt-brown.co.uk/rabbit ... for-owners

Whilst she is keen to set this up for us she would like our help as to what format we would like, especially if evenings, full days etc.

Thank you for reading and for your input.

Thanks - I've sent some suggestions, I've asked for some short You Tube video's too, then they're accessible to more people :)

Thank you so much. The more feedback FHB gets, then the more she knows what information we want and how we would like the information presented.

I think information available to download is more accessible for owners than having to travel to York for seminars- especially when people have rabbits to care for at home.

I think there needs to be 2 levels of information - one aimed at those who are just starting as rabbit owners and one for those who are experienced rabbit owners which could be more in depth.

I'll add my comments to her form.

Thanks. She's only really asking for feedback from people who are interested in a course/talk being set up so it can be tailored to our needs. I'm just highlighting it in case anybody wants to submit something on that basis (of my own volition as I want it to be a success). Given the number of rabbit owners in the country I would imagine the vast majority of rabbits owners won't want to go to something like that even if it is purely that the same information is accessible elsewhere. ... she is planning an e-book as well this venture is a possible addition to the 'available to download' resource.

I, for one, am less then 20 miles from the venue which makes it a rare opportunity to attend such an event, so travelling to Harrogate isn't a problem for me.

Harrogate is about 90 mins for me, so possibly doable if the topic is really interesting.

Ah I see, I'm afraid it's much too far for me to travel.

Yes, I know what you mean. if there was an event in Gloucestershire I would be thinking the same. I'm just so lucky (if this one happens) that it's practically on my doorstep.

This is a fab idea, but unfortunately too far away for me to attend :(

It would be great if FHB was able to do some videos for Youtube though I would def watch them all :)
