Update onCrunchie my Myxi Bun - ud discharged

You wouldn't know he was ill ans he isbt really- the lumps are receding and his eyes are now completely open thanks to yesterday. Looking at him thus morning his eye lids are unaffected. A he can now breathe through his nose. I also doung think he has pasturella as hes had no goo since removing the dead skin and thats where i thought it was from. I was proved right. Just need thr lumps to go down. Skin to heal. And fur grow. Sadly his ears arent so good. And he most probaby will loose the tips.

Im hoping if i get through my house inspection - not supposed to have bunnies inside - then i want a friend for him. He is so lonely.

Crunchie is doing really well. The fur is starting to grow back now and the nodules are hardening and breaking" they are rock solid. One came off over one eye and that eye is now perfect eyelid is completely undamagd. The other over the other side is hardening and half off - the other half is still attached to the eyelid so I am hoping that will come off soon without any damage. he has just one big one left on one side of his nostril which is hardened just waiting for the connection to the skin to die! One the other side came off today it was completely hardened and hnging on by a bit of skin. so it dangled over his mouth (puke emoticon) and no amount of soaking got it off last night. It came off with tonights bathe and it all appears ok His nose looks ok I am so relieved.

Just under his bottom lip is still swollen though but the vet did say that may never go down completely - but it doesnt stop him eating 7_x_small_x_love.gif He is also completely nose breathing now which means that as the nodules have gone so have the swellings.

The only down side is that the tip of one ear is completely rock solid and there appears to be no skin under the nodules that have clusters so as he loses the nodules....I think we' will loose that tip!

Now that 8-% of the necrotic tissue has gone he smells much better too.

His genitals are also completely normal now

He has a check up on weds pm for the vet to monitor his progress.

Another bit of good news is that he doesnt ahve pasturella

I am hoping we can take him of the metacam and baytrill soon. Just such a sham it wasnt warm so I couldnt have re-bonded him with his friends. He looks so sad and lonely

I have a house check soon - Im praying I dont loose the house for having him inside and the agent understands If not we could all be out. But my argument is she cant object to a bunny on lino in a carpeted room when im allowed a dog! Also the house is a shithouse anyway!!!

I do think He will need a friend...question is whethere I can get him one Financially and at the moment he has like 4ft x 4ft of room space and could only potentially be expanded by aother 2 ft eventually

Ah bless him. Really pleased to read that he is doing so well.

My Rio had a very mild case of myxi last year and the lump on his nose took ages to go down completely - about six months. So maybe his bottom lip will reduce in time.

Crunchie is doing so well an almost back to.normal. The nodules on his face have all gone and left no marks which is amazing. His ears are a little scabby hut are healing fine. Came home from work the other day to find hed escaped the pen and was sat with his head in the food bag!!!!

He went to the vets yesterday who was so amazed and happy he even took photos on his phone snf grabbed the nurse who did the clipping. As his immune system is ok. His coat is ok hes advised for crunchie to go back outside. I asked about the temp change and he advised if done gruadually it would be ok. Its still very mild here. Im nervous about doing it so will just play by ear. Would be nice for him to be with the others again. And have space. But we'll see.

I just cant believe the change x
