Bottles or bowls

Post by Cazzat1979 »

What do you guys prefer for your buns water? I have a bottle for Minnie but it just leaks so much, it's just one of the standard ones you see in pet shops, any recommendations ?

Try a Sippy water bottle from ferplast... Sooty & Fern have one & they don't leak, plus you can mount them in or outside the cage :) Teddi & Lexi have ordinary bottles but 2 smaller rather than a large one as I find the bigger they are, the more they tend to drip.
Tigger has a huge dogs bowl for his water as he won't use a bottle :)
In fact before I had Teddi, none of my previous buns used bottles, but he can't manage a bowl due to the angle of his head
Try giving them the choice of both :)

Sorry I can't recommend a bottle as all mine have bowls (their choice) I find it's easier to keep them clean too, the only time I've used bottles they seemed to leak or drip :(

I used to just have bottles, but as soon as I put bowls of water down they stopped using the bottle altogether, so now they just have the bowls

I've had to use bottles for the babies (as they can drown in bowls) but I prefer bowls and think they are easier to clean out :-bd

Hi, I used these http://www.johnhopewell.co.uk/default.a ... oductid=21 and found them great, I now mainly use stainless steel bowls for the hutches. :)

I use bowls - the Boys and Her Ladyship much prefer them. They do have bottles in as a back up,for the occasions when somebun decides to either jump in the water bowl and splash the water out, or kick poo in there 8-|

Mine prefer their bowl - or bowls as they have a few dotted around the garden so they don't have to go too far if they get thirsty. 8-|

In their hutch they have a bottle, there have been a few 'incidents' with bowls. They do use the bottle but definitely prefer their bowls.

We have the John Hopewell bottles on all our hutches and even buns who are used to the standard classic bottles seem to manage them straight away. I always put a bowl in as well during the summer but they just tend to pee or poop in it. :-o :ymsick:
