My bunnies are so naughty!

Well one of them anyway... They've been with my parents for a few days while we were away. They've had a whole room to themselves with lots of things to play with. Doorway was blocked off with a safety gate, safety gate was covered with plastic mesh stuff (on the OTHER side of the room to where the bunnies were). So we thought it was pretty bunny proof.... Texted my mum yesterday to see how they were getting on and she said they'd been very good which shocked me!

They did look pretty relaxed before I left Wednesday evening though:



Well went to pick them up today and found out that Houdini Pipkin has been at it again... My mum fed them this morning and then went back to bed. All was very quiet until she heard 'tap, tap, tap' on the landing. My dad went to see what it was and found Pipkin sitting on the landing!! He had chewed not one but three holes in the plastic mesh, squeezed through a tiny hole and then sat on the landing looking very pleased with himself

He is such a little monster! They''re going to be looking after the two of them again over Christmas so we shall have to get our thinking caps on to think of how to Pipkin proof the gate...

Pipkin makes it his mission in life to either escape or squeeze into impossible gaps. Polar is much more placid though and is happy just lying down relaxing. I'd love to let them free range all the time but I'd be too worried what situations Pipkin would get himself in....

I think his best escape was when he was 'recovering' from being castrated, manage to scale the fence in his hospital accomodation, jump onto the TV stand and turn the playstation on... He then got back over the fence! We wondered how the playstation had turned itself on, only realised the next day when he escaped the next day and we caught him.

He gets a look in his eye and you just know he's going to be naughty!

I have this problem with Oscar and Jessie when we stay at my parents house. They are free range normally so when they are in the pen they spend their entire time trying to escape or get up to no good.

I love that glint in their eye when bunnies are going to be mischievous. Bella regularly had that look.

must say tho, turning the playstation on is a good one had you tried not to let him play his favourite games whilst he was recovering in case he got too excited
