Re: Welcome and introductions
Hiya,
I have got 5 bunnies and I absolutely love them.
Little man who is now old man and almost 9 yrs, Hoppla 2yrs, Lola 1.5 yrs, Little Mouse 2yrs (a half wildie and son of Hoppla) and Honey Bunny 2-3 yrs and an ex pet shop breeding doe.
All 5 are rescued bunnies or strays. All of them are spayed, neutered and up to date with their vaccs. Only Honey Bunny still needs to be spayed (I have only had her for a couple of weeks), she still has to lose some weight and I want to give her time to settle in.
Honey Bunny is the latest addition. She is an ex pet shop breeding doe who arrived at the pet shop with her litter, the pet shop then continued breeding with her.
Apparently was aggressive and attacked the pet shop owner, hence they wanted to get rid of her.
Honey bunny is not aggressive at all, she was just very protective of her babies. Out of all my bunnies she is the cuddliest.
My other 4 bunnies are also super friendly and funny little clowns and they love their nose rubs.
Little Man and Lola will groom you back.
But Honey Bunny is just a dream, she will do a bunny flop right next to you on the sofa and snuggle up to you. I have never met a bunny like her. She is more like a cat or dog.
Unfortunately as she has never been handled she doesn't quite know that my hands and feet are still part of me and when my fingers smell of yummy carrots.....well you can guess what she does then.
She has just done a bunny flop at my feet while I am typing

I also have a tortoise that is 53 years old. He is presently geting ready for bed, and shuold be in his hibernnation box by the weekend. iITs been a bit warm lately and although he hasnt been fed for thee weeks he has still been having his warm baths ( its the way the hydrate themselves) to make sure he is ok for his "nap". A torty shouldnt eat for three weeks before you put them away to ensure they are "empty" so they dont have anything to go bad !
