How much do you pay for the combined vaccination?

Post by Foofy »

Just had Buttons vaccinated with the new combined vaccination and my vets charged me £40, just wondering how much other people are paying for this new vacc? He seemed fine afterwards and have been no side effects.

The single vaccs were approx £22 at my vets 3 times a year so The £40 works out cheaper, however my vets want people to take all rabbits once a year for the vaccination and then go back again after 6 months for a health check, but they are unsure yet if this will be free or if you will have to pay the consult fee (currently £26.50) I expect they will charge which means the price will be almost exactly the same but with 2 visits instead of 3.

Personally I will take all my 3 for the vacc and then go back 6 months later for a health check as well whether they charge or not but I can't help feeling that bunnies are loosing out slightly as you will be only getting 2 health checks a year instead of 3 :(

I paid £35 for Max and Paddy, I was slightly annoyed as two weeks earlier I'd taken 9 for the single myxi vac which cost £20 each so they've all got to be done again in six months :(

Most of mine visit the vets more than twice a year as they have dental problems, so they get regular check ups :(

I can quite undeerstand your annoyance with the myxi vaccs :( So my vets charging £40 for 1 bunny to have the combined vacc is quite expensive :( maybe I will mention this to the vet as I have to take Peter & Casper for theirs at the end of July £80 for 2 bunnies to be vaccinated seems excessive to me? although on previous occasions they have given a 10% discount for 2 or more animals vaccinated at the same time but this would still be £72 or £36 per bunny :( I'd better start saving up :(

How much has everyone else paid per bunny for the combined vaccination?

I paid £34, I think, for Lord Spenser's combined vaccine.
Spenser is pondering a new signature...

But, did you not need the others twice a year. You only need this one once.
