Update onCrunchie my Myxi Bun - ud discharged

Post by happybunny22000 »

Crunchie is still doing well but...

He is going in to vets on Tuesday for anestetic they are going to remove all the fur around teh nodules areound his face - nose eyes mouth and any loose - dead skin. At the moment a syou can see on the pics on FB - bits pf dead skin are coming off - however some is hardening and its uncomfortable for him. By removing all the dead scabbing we will be able to assess the skin below.

The vet said he is like a burns vctim. That he will always be scarred - may lose the tips of his ears and the nodules on his eyes may never go - good thing is that his eyelids havent split. His lips will always be thick :(

More bad news is that he has pasturella as a secondary infection :(:(

After op on tuesday we will be getting some steriod cream for his little face :(

I dont care what he looks like - the vet said he will never win a beauty comp but I dont care :( I just worry that now I made the wrong choice. He's notin pain - but it must be so uncomfortable :) and Tuesday will be worse :(

Fingers crossed for Tuesday. Really hope the operation is a success. Hopefully he will be much more comfortable once it is all done. Sending vibes for a successful anaesthetic and speedy recovery

Sorry to hear about Crunchie hope the OP goes well and he will be more comfortable afterwards. He sounds like a fighter, I had a bunny called Crunchie too and she survived breast cancer and was a real fighter too.

Thinking of you and Crunchie xxx

Don't second-guess yourself. You made the decision you thought was best and that's all any of us can do. Poor Crunchie - it's a horrible illness isn't it?! :(

Hope all goes smoothly on Tuesday and just remember that your care has got Crunchie this far. x
Love Han xx

...and the BARC crew.... Jack and Hollie the bunnies and Tommy and Ronnie the piggles! Plus Whisper-dog and the ratties xx

Sending lots of vibes for Crunchie, you should be so proud that you've got him through this, like you say Dom, it doesn't matter if he has a few scars, he's here and fighting which is what counts x

Sending loads of vibes for Crunchie. Will be thinking of you both on Tuesday.

He's a very brave bunny and so lucky to have such a devoted mummy.
