Rose and Martha

Sadly we have recently lost both our piggies :(

Martha passed suddenly in March - came out to eat her breakfast, and when we went to clean them out a couple of hours later she had gone - lying by the side of the remains of the breakfast salad :( She had been looking old, and was over 5, but very sad to see her go :(

Rose moved into the living room with us for company, and was doing fine, but over the May bank holiday weekend she was taken ill. She was in a lot of discomfort, so we rushed her to the vets - by the time we got there she'd had a bleed in one eye as wasn't doing well - at 5 1/2 we decided it wasn't fair to subject her to a lot of poking around treatment - the vet thought there were several issues which might have been building without symptoms for a while, but that it would be a very hard battle for her, even if she was much younger, so sadly we decided the kindest thing was to let her go :(

It's very quiet without our old girls - and the fridge is looking rather empty without a whole shelf being taken over by piggies greens.

Popcorn free, Rose & Martha xxxxx

This thread was started in May 2013, bunlover, but of course we send our thoughts on the anniversary of Blackberry's loss.
