Saving the NZW meat rabbits

Post by bb mommy »

Some of you may have seen our Facebook and Twitter appeals following the rescue of the 38 NZW meat rabbits.
We took 9 into Hopper Haven, but within 2 weeks they became 26 as two mummies gave birth.
Here are the gorgeous pokes of white fluffies that have joined the sanctuary

Well done for rescuing them, and for highlighting their plight.
What a huge jump in numbers from the original 9 you took in! :( I do hope you will have success in rehoming them all when the babies are ready.

What happened to the rest of the rabbits? Did other rescues take them in?
