We've rescued her from our local RSPCA rehoming centre. We chose her last weekend which was very difficult as we felt so sorry for all the old cats there would have been nice to offer a new home to all of them. Unfortunately after we had chosen Poppy we noticed that her spay wound was weeping, RSPCA got the vet to see her on Sunday and she decided Poppy had to go on antiobiotics so had to remain at the centre. We were going to go along and see her yesterday and take in some toys for her until could bring her home, but we got a call yesterday morning from the centre to say she had just been seen by the vet again and been given the all clear and she could come off the antibiotics and was ok to go home with us so we went in to collect and offically adopt her yesterday afternoon.She is about 1-2 years old and was signed over to an RSPCA inspector by her owners mother as her owner was a drug addict and not very well and her mother felt she could not cope looking after Flower (as she was called we have changed her name to Poppy).
She is settling in very well and is currently sitting on my lap as I type
