My brave little dog
Holly
She is deaf and almost blind, has recently started to have seizures, the vet thinks she has a brain tumour, she has recently started some medication which makes her feel really tired but she is a little fighter, she still finds the energy to play and still loves going to the park, she is a little treasure. She is almost 14 years old.

Re: My brave little dog
Thank you for the replies, she is a bit wobbly sometimes as she is so tired, but she tries to fight the tiredness and ends up almost sleeping sitting up, the vet said the tiredness might wear off after a couple of weeks. I am going to give her milk thistle supplements to help support her liver as the seizure meds can affect the liver. (the vet said milk thistle might help).

Re: My brave little dog
I thought I would give an update.
Holly is doing really well at the moment, she had tests on her thyroid and it came back that it was very low, the medication she takes can cause a low reading on the tests for thyroid so they had to do an additional test and it showed she does have a underactive thyroid so she started medication for that and she seems to be perking up she seems happier and has times when she plays like she did as a puppy
She is going into the vets for a few hours on Wednesday for more tests to make sure the thyroid medications are at the right level

Bless her. Our old yorkshire terrier latest until he was 17 years old and had similar problems to your beautiful dog.
Re: My brave little dog
Holly is lovely
I am glad the medications appear to be making a difference to her wellbeing... long may it continue
