August rescue of the month - The Rabbit Residence Rescue
The Rabbit Residence Rescue is based in Hertfordshire and is run by the rescue manager/founder, Caroline Collings, and a dedicated team of volunteers. Caroline has been running the rescue for many years and last week we became a registered charity! (Registered Charity Number 1148016)
We love all the bunnies in our care as if they were our own pets and are dedicated to providing the best possible care and to encouraging others with rabbits or wanting to adopt to do the same. As many rabbits as possible live in sheds with runs, or in aviaries with 6ft hutches or playhouses. All rabbits are neutered/spayed and vaccinated before going to new homes. We have strong rehoming criteria to encourage new owners to provide the best possible environment meeting RWA recommendations. We provide leaflets and a handbook to support adoptors. We have over 100 rabbits awaiting loving new homes. We have a non-euthanasia policy and will never have a rabbit with quality of life put to sleep. This means we have many elderly and special needs rabbits that stay with us long term.

Thanks Rabswood!
Yes, it's really exciting that we now have registered charity status. The Rabbit Residence Rescue has been running for years but the paperwork involved has previously put us off registering. Last year we decided we should just go for it and have been preparing and going through the process since then.
Here are a couple more photos of the rescue and bunnies:

Well done on charity status, and of course on taking such good care of so many bunnies.
Spenser is pondering a new signature...

Yes, congratulations on becoming registered
Its wonderful that you can give all of the rescue bunnies so much living space whilst they are with you I'm very envious as hutch/runs are all that we can give our guys until they go onto bigger and better things in their forever homes.
Keep up the brilliant work!
