When I had my buns indoors I adapted a dog crate for them by adding a ramp and a shelf (the carrier on the top shelf is tied to the bars to stop it falling off with a bun in it!)
They (3) were locked in for bed but the rest of the time they had the door open and access to the spare room.

That's a really good idea, though I can't put Coco anywhere high as he's partially sighted and his wifebun is very skittish so fear he may fall off any shelf like structures. Good for most buns though.

When I got Herbie & Inca I adapted a crate to have a second level. The wee blighters would never use it, so now it is my storage shelf!!

Hi, can you tell me how you fixed the shelves to the insides of cage pls?
Re: Large dog crate with shelf & ramp
You use straps of wood with wee notches taken out that slip over the wire in the crate, then the shelf rests on that.....did that make sense?!oddpeni wrote:Hi, can you tell me how you fixed the shelves to the insides of cage pls?
