Alfie is off his food :(

Post by Aurora »

Just rushed Alfie to the emergency out of hours vet as when I got home he wasn't eating :( He's been given pain relief and gut stimulant but so far he's not responsive, I think that he's still stressed from the car journey (as it is quite far to the emergency vet).

I'm monitoring him closely and have all fingers and paws crossed he will eat again soon. Any vibes you have for my little boy would be greatly appreciated. :( so worried right now.

Sending lots of vibes - was he given fluids at the vets, keeping him hydrated is just as important as pain relief, hope he soon picks up x

Oh no :(

Lots of vibes for a speedy recovery heading his way x

Hopefully after her has relaxed a bit from being safe at home he will start to pick up.

He's nibbled some coriander, so hopefully he will eat some more soon. He has done a few poops too. The vet didn't give him any fluids and I was too busy panicing to ask :(

Glad he is starting to nibble and poop :)

Hopefully he will drink soon, too, but you can offer him his veg wet to get extra fluids in, or, if you think it necessary you can syringe water, but that might stress him more. If he is starting to eat, though, then you shouldn't have to worry :)
