THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF EDDY'S SANCTUARY

We would like to enter Rosie for the Rescue Rabbit of the month. Rosie, is now 5 years old. She's a French Lop. She came into the sanctuary when she was about a year old with her sister Daisy. We were told they were Dwarf lops! Sadly, her sister passed away 2 years ago. They had 5 different homes in the first few months of their lives. Last year Roseie had to have eye surgery for entropian, see the photo below.
Rosie is a lovely big bunny who just loves to chill and eat!!

THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF WINDWHISTLE WARREN RESCUE

Windwhistle would like to enter Quinn for the Rescue Rabbit of the Month. Quinn is one of our ‘happy stories’. He was neutered when very young, and he already had dental disease. His second dental check showed that the way his gum was growing protected his tooth. The third, recent, check, confirms his teeth are fine! So relieved 🥰

THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF MARIAS ANIMAL SHELTER

Marias Animal Shelter would like to enter Sirius and Regulus for Rescue Rabbits of the month please.
Sirius came to us in October with another called Regulus. None of us thought the 2 boys would survive due to the noises that we could hear from the chest. The vet could not diagnose because they were so unwell, so we threw everything at them and prayed they would survive. Both rabbits did but there were numerous other issues with them as well. Both boys had intensive care and treatment for 3 months. It was amazing to see the difference in them as they responded to love and treatment. Regulus showed us so much love and affection but a few weeks ago started to deteriorate. After more tests the vets found a tumour on his liver and had to be put to sleep. We were all so devastated. At present, Sirius is the best he has ever been. We have overcome the problem with his scalded feet by buying special boots to protect them. His chest will never be 100% because of scarring to his upper respiratory tract but we try to minimise any stress. The only other issue he presently has is Coccidia. We are struggling to overcome this. I'm guessing his immune system isn't great and his age goes against him as well. Fingers crossed that the 4th lab results will come back negative for it.

Regulus - RIP

The Pledge a Pound Team have chosen Sirius and Regulus as the winners of the Rescue Rabbits of the month for February. Hopefully Sirius will enjoy some treats but as Regulus has sadly hopped over the Rainbow Bridge his part of the prize will be sent to the Rescue in his memory :x

Thank you very much for choosing the boys. They have been through so much in their lives and I hope that we can give Sirius lots of love now to show that we care for him.
