We are now opening up this thread for entries for the August Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month.

All our Rescues are welcome to enter, even if you have won before. Your entry must include the animal/s story and at least 1 photo (but more is good ;) ), you have until midnight on 31st July to get your entries in here. Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Only one entry per Rescue please.

Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group that live together.

The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of August

The winner will receive a prize of items to be sent to the Rescue such as Panacur, Fibreplex, critical care, etc and similar things that all rabbit/guinea pig Rescues use/need. The prize for July will be 2 sachets of recovery food, 1 tube of Panacur, 1 tube of ReguTum paste, a bag of Burgess Herby Hearts and a packet of Russell Rabbit Crunchers.

Baby Blue Bee Bunnies would like to nominate The Woodland Babies.

At the beginning of the month we found ourselves landed with yet another 9 tiny rescues. And since then, it's been hourly feeds to save their lives....

The Woodland babies found themselves at BBBB. A litter of three sisters around 16 weeks old and unfortunately a second litter of 5 babies which are only around 2-3 weeks old.

Prior to arriving we had been advised that they were 6 to 7 weeks old, even then far too young to be separated from their mum, but at 2 to 3 weeks we have been striving round the clock to do our very best for them.

To give these babies any chance of survival they are now having to be hand reared.

A few weeks in and while not out of the woods they are getting stronger and we continue to give them round the clock care. We can just pray that these gorgeous little buns get the chance to enjoy the life they deserve.

THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF WINDWHISTLE WARREN RESCUE

Windwhistle would like to enter Rosemary. Rosemary is just 3 years old. And she has had 10 litters of babies, so is now surplus to requirements 😢 Sadly, no doubt, not an unusual story. Thankfully she is safe here now.
