Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Only one entry per Rescue please.

We recently took in mother bunny, Rosie and her baby in. Sadly, the baby has a broken leg. No other rescues would take baby in, and owner has just paid for her step father’s funeral. She had no money. Baby bun has now had her leg amputated, and our vets named him Button. As he is as cute as a button. We are going to be doing a raffle this month to pay for Buttons op. Although he now only has 3 legs he is coping.

Baby Blue Bee Bunnies would like to posthumously nominate Birrus.

We sadly lost Birrus this month when he was due to undergo eye surgery to have his eye removed due to the extreme bulging which has caused complete loss of vision, ulceration and lots of pain. We believe this is a genetic condition that he has picked up from his parents, both of which were bred to have extreme features. Unfortunately the vets discovered this horrendous condition was impacting both eyes and advised the only course of action open to us was to euthanise on welfare grounds

The same condition happened to his Dad, Bimbus however sadly Birrus suffered an even more severe form.
We are truly devastated at his loss.

This month Beloved Rabbits would like to nominate sisters Grasshopper and Smirnhopp. These beauties have recently entered the rescue and were an unexpected addition as we were advised it was just one rabbit being surrendered, however on arrival our volunteer was handed two carriers! From what we know of their history, it is likely they were originally lockdown pets that were a regret, and they ended up being cared for by a dog rescuer, who over lockdown found herself as a place where people left their rabbits, often just left in the garden in carriers. She contacted us to advise she didn't have the correct set up to care for rabbits and to ask for our help. They are now in foster care where they are really lively and enjoying having a lot of space to run and binky! While we arrange to have them vaccinated, microchipped and neutered ready for adoption, our adoptions team will work to find them their perfect forever home.
