THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF MARIAS ANIMAL SHELTER

Truffle is a 4 year old neutered boy. Truffle was brought in to Marias Animal Shelter because his friend had died and he was lonely. He is lovely and we thought he would rehome easy because he looks so cute. Unfortunately we have found that he has an impacted rectum that needs to be emptied every other day. We are also treating him for hopefully just a urine infection and not a kidney issue.

Hi my name is Toby, I'm 2 years old and was rehomed by my owner as they didn't want me anymore. I joined Southampton Rabbit Rescue and I now live with 7 lovely girlie guinea pigs who all look after me. At the moment Toby has a poorly eye after getting a hay seed stuck in the corner of his eye, he is now being treated with Metacam and eye ointment.

Baby Blue Bee Bunnies May entry are just with us.
Boss, Brighten and Blessings are 3 very sorry souls who are in desperate need of vet care. Unfortunately it just couldn't be any worse, they were all eating the sawdust in their carriers and then when we took them out to examine them, it was our worst fears. 😫 The two girls have severe ear abscesses and need dentals have weepy eyes and the old girl has bites on her. All three are covered in mites and fleas. The giant male is in such awful condition, he has infected hocks, severe Dacryocystitis, a massive pus filled abscess hanging on his chin as well as other bites, he is severely underweight and his whole coat was one complete matt on his back and bum, he also has a snapped incisor. They are now with our amazing vet partners RDV.

This month Beloved Rabbits is nominating Glory for rescue rabbit of the month. He came to us with his bonded buddy, Rapture, as the children in their previous home lost interest in them, and upon arrival they were very timid. We quickly placed them in foster care with a view to socialising them and bringing the wee souls out their shell, and their foster carer had reported they were settling in nicely and becoming less nervous around her. Sadly, things took a turn when Rapture passed away very suddenly and without warning - from experience we know this isn't uncommon with rabbits as they are excellent at hiding illness from us, but as you can imagine it was a big shock for their foster carer. Wee Glory is now on hold while we monitor him for signs of illness, but he appears to be coping alright and we hope to be able to match him up to a forever home and new bunny companion as soon as possible.
