RVHD2 is a massive risk to your bunnies. It does not make any difference if they are house or outdoor bunnies, they all need to be vaccinated.

URGENT WARNING FOR RABBIT OWNERS - RHDV2 OUTBREAK - INCREASED VACCINATION RECOMMENDATION
Rabbit owners please be advised that there are confirmed cases of RHVD2 virus in the local area. Sadly, four rabbits have already died in B92.
The Filavac vaccine covers this disease and is usually given every 12 months unless the risk is increased, and so now we recommend this every 6 MONTHS in line with RAW Guidelines.
RHVD2 is spread by objects/contact i.e. footwear, hands, clothing, food bowls, car tyres, wild rabbits and crows. Rabbits may show NO symptoms, but pass away within 12-24 hours.
In light of this outbreak, we highly recommend that rabbits in this and neighbouring areas are now vaccinated EVERY 6 months. So if your rabbit has not had the RHDV2 / Filavac vaccination in the past SIX months, we recommend booking an appointment. We are aware that this will come at financial cost as most of us bunny fans do not have just one companion; we are therefore offering a 10% Filavac discount to every rabbit that has never had the vaccine or not had it in the last six months. The vaccine takes 1 week to provide cover and regrettably, if a rabbit already has the virus, it will not give protection.
Please note: the Myxomatosis vaccine does NOT cover this type of virus, it covers RHDV1 but not RHDV2.
