I have just read an extremely sad report on facebook from Windwhistle Warren Rescue, of a rescue rabbit who was kept in a small 3ft hutch who now suffers lasting intestinal damage from not having enough space to move.
3ft is much too small
Please do not buy small hutches - that pet shop baby rabbit will outgrow it in months and will endure considerable health problems.
There is no such thing as a starter hutch. ...
..........ALL rabbits should have a min 6ft x 2ft hutch with an 8ft run, and be bonded with a partner when neutered .
Please check RWAF online for advice on rabbit care and hutch sizes before you consider a rabbit pet, or look at online advice from your local rescue.

Re: too small 3ft hutch causes intestine problems for rabbit
Having heard several rescues have had to turn down people wanting to adopt rabbits as pets recently as the accommodation was too small, I am re-posting this.
