May 2019 update

Post by MariasAnimalShelter »

It has been a busy few months as i think all the other rescues will agree with as well. We have taken 109 animals in so far this year. Even with the VHD2 virus quite close and killing unvaccinated rabbits near us we still have a waiting list for rabbits to come in. This year we have seen quite a high rise of animals coming in, needing veterinary treating straight away, rather than just the routine neutering and vaccinations. The rising cost for this is quite frightening and a constant worry that we will run out of funds.
On a positive note, we have found some amazing new families who have adopted from us. We always need more though. :) :)

I think the VHD2 virus is countrywide now :(.
Well done for taking in so may already this year. :)
I do hope you will get lots of adoptions so the adoption fees go some way to lessening the vet bills.
