Well as Lady won last month feel a bit bad entering again but as no one else has yet here goes!

This is poor little Corncrake

ImageCorncrake140119 by Jill Woodward, on Flickr

He was handed in by a lady who was worried her child would get ill from the pig as they had seen a rat in their garden! ?
When she was about to hand him over I said " oh he has mites ( they were obvious), and she nearly dropped the box saying " urrgg take him take him "
:( poor little pig had a very bad mite infestation and was very thin.
However he is making progress and has learnt to love a noserub :)

This gorgeous boy is Moo. Moo's owner asked her friend to look after Moo while she was on holiday but unfortunately never came back to collect him.
We noticed that he had one weepy eye and struggled to eat certain items. The bad news was that Moo has teeth root issues that cannot be rectified. He is fine at the moment with pain relief. The vet has given him around 6 months left. Moo is now in a fantastic foster home and has the house to roam as well as a dog he has befriended. =((

Once upon a time a little bunny found his way to Barc .
We called him Ozzy.
He was very sweet and no trouble except that he loved the lady buns a little bit too much .
This led to a few failed bonds before he at last found love in a trio with 2 girls.

Sadly as time went on his 2 lady friends passed away , and Ozzy found himself back at Barc once more .
Despite being neutered and now being 5 yrs old at least ... Mr Ozzy still loves the ladies a little bit too much .
So a failed bond later and he is still waiting for what we hope will this time be his forever home .

I feel so sad when I see him sitting alone in his hutch or run . He seems very subdued and sad .

Piglet, Casper, Moose and Patch all tucking into their hay.

Unfortunately Piglet and Moose lost their mum at an early age, despite being very ill when they were young, have defied the odds and grown into beautiful young buns; they now have a forever home with Casper and Patch!

All beautiful bunnies I think you'll agree. Really makes it all worth it when they come full circle and are living their best lives.

Luckily we don't get many babies at Wind whistle but this month Amy, came into our care with her babies. She is only 7 months old, and, these 5 babies are her third litter with her brother. She was rescued with her second litter, son from her first litter, and brother. Her rescuer was taken aback when Amy had this litter, she had been advised there was no way Amy could be pregnant again. Now she is with Wind whistle we aim to get her neutered before another surprise litter. She is a beautiful natured rabbit and an incredible mother. We named her after Alice's mother in law. The babies are pretty special too, the black/grey/white is an especially lively character. Luckily one of the babies has already been reserved, and we hope we are able to find them all homes as soon as they are old enough to be neutered.

This is “mum” and her babies. She came to us on the 23rd of January after living on the side of the motorway for a month! A few days later on the 1st of February she surprised us with a litter of 8 babies! Unfortunately one did not survive. The remaining babies are doing well and mum is a beautiful bunny with a treat obsession.

Hello from Team Binky Buns,

Please meet our wonderful trio, from left to right, Suki, Luna and Teacup. Luna is the mother of both Suki and Teacup.

Luna was rescued by us from an awful situation. She had been constantly pregnant and giving birth, month upon month thereafter. She came to us in such a sorry state - She was malnourished, her fur was sparce and wirey and she was terrified of her own shadow. Little did we know that she was pregnant when she came to us, a few weeks after rescue, along came Suki, Teacup and another daughter who has now found her forever home.

Now, Luna is now up to her correct weight, has beautifully silky soft fur and will never be hungry again. All three girls have been neutered and had all of their vaccinations. They live together in a large cabin and will never be separated. Although still very nervous, were working hard to rehabilitate Luna and encourage her own, and her daughters', confidence.
