Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month September 2018

Post by Foofy »

As we have now announced the winner of the Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the month for August - Raspberry from Hopper Haven
see his story and photo here http://www.pledgeapound.net/forum/viewt ... f=4&t=6869

we are now opening up this thread for entries for the September Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month.

All our Rescues are welcome to enter, even if you have won before. Your entry must include the animal/s story and at least 1 photo (but more is good), you have until midnight on 31st August to get your entries in here. Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Only one entry per Rescue please.

Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group that live together.

The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of September.

The winner will receive a prize of items to be sent to the Rescue such as Panacur, Fibreplex, critical care, etc and similar things that all rabbit/guinea pig Rescues use/need. This months prize will be 1 tube of Panacur and 1 tube of Fibreplex :)

If anyone needs help uploading photos to the forum please let me know.

I would like to enter little Plover Honeybunny.
He is part of the 3rd litter out of 4 that his poor mother had back to back :( His owners left mum and dad together despite babies appearing at 4 weekly intervals, gave some away, sold some and then asked us for help.
We don't have the mum but are hoping the dad is now neutered as were told he would be
Plover is approx 10 weeks old and tiny. Timid but coming round and will be neutered when a bit older
Day he arrived

When I collected his older brother, Penguin, I advised they cleaned up the area as all the rabbits were in a large pen with chicknes and so many of the rabbits covered in chicken poo!. When went back to collect Plover and his two brothers it was still as dirty :(

Here he is enjoying some apple leaves.

Hopefully little Plover will have no long term affects from his mothers pregnancies and the conditions he was living in.
And to add we hope to go and get the youngest litter very soon
