Recall on some filavac (VHD) vaccines

There has been a recall on some filavac vaccines. Don’t panic! Check with your vet if you’ve recently had the filavac vaccine, or if you’re about to, to see if they have had an affected batch. Don’t let this delay you in vaccinating your rabbits.

The Veterinary Medicines Directorate has issued a product recall for two batches of the rabbit haemorrhagic disease vaccine, Filavac VHD K C+V (Vm 46470/4000).
Batches 060K80412C1A-UK1-2 and 060K80412A1C-UK1-2 (expiry 12/06/2019) have been recalled due to incorrect storage requirements during shipment.

The following batches of Filavac VHD K C+V (Vm 46470/4000) have been recalled due to incorrect storage requirements during shipment.
Batch Expiry Date
060K80412C1A-UK1-2 12/06/2019
060K80412A1C-UK1-2 12/06/2019
It should be noted that some vials of batch number 060K80412C1A-UK-1-2 were part of a different consignment and were not affected. These vials have been released on to the UK market.
Please be assured that all product currently available in the UK market met the quality standards in accordance with the marketing authorisation.

Please speak to your vet if you have any concerns.
