Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month May 2018

Post by Foofy »

As we have now announced the winner of the Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the month for April - Monty & Chip from Marias Animal Shelter
see their story and photos here http://www.pledgeapound.net/forum/viewt ... f=4&t=6808

we are now opening up this thread for entries for the May Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month.

All our Rescues are welcome to enter, even if you have won before. Your entry must include the animal/s story and at least 1 photo (but more is good), you have until midnight on 30th April to get your entries in here. Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Only one entry per Rescue please.

Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group that live together.

The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of May.

The winner will receive a prize of items to be sent to the Rescue such as Panacur, Fibreplex, critical care, snugglesafes and similar things that all rabbit/guinea pig Rescues use/need. This months prize will be 2 tubes of Panacur and a packet of Critical Care.

If anyone needs help uploading photos to the forum please let me know.

Cherry was given as a christmas present. Unfortunately the owner did not have the time to look after her and she also could not cope with the wound, that was made by Cherry digging her skin after vaccination. :-s

This entry is on behalf of Tameside Rabbit Rescue

Blake
This young, friendly nethy was brought to the rescue after having issues with his teeth. His owners couldn't afford the vet bills and threatened to let him off in a field if we didn't take him in. They brought him in on Saturday and we had to rush him to the vets who saw him after closing time and managed to file his teeth down to enable him to eat! He was very hungry indeed and tucked straight into his food!
He will need his teeth removing and we plan having this done asap. Blake is one of many rabbits just recently brought to the rescue with dental issues and the cost of filing and removing has had a massive impact on the vet bills.
