Benson came to us as the housing association had told Benson's owner that she has to give up the majority of her rabbits. The person had too many and the neighbours had complained. Poor benson came to us very stressed and with a rattling sound on his chest. An x ray ruled out any respiratory problems but he does seem to get the problem when he is stressed. After a new vet castrated Benson he came back extremely swollen and 2 days later had an infection, which has just cleared up. He has overcome his anxiety and is a very cuddly bunny but i think he may have future issues regarding his stress levels.

Mum June with her babies Holly and Billy came into Warwickshire Rabbit & Guinea Pig SOS after their owner was sadly found dead in the garden by his own daughter :-(
All are doing well and are booked into to have their ops this week and we hope to be able to find them their own families in the new year xx

Little BooBoo was born in Warwickshire Rabbit & Guinea Pig SOS as the only boy in the litter after his mum was handed in very heavily pregnant :-(
He will remain with us until he is old enough to be castrated and we will then look for his own family

This entry is on behalf of Tameside Rescue

Apologies for the late entry, entry was submitted at the end of November by Tameside.

We unfortunately have a lot of rabbits and guinea pigs in our care at the moment that need lots of medical attention. This is the lovely Lou Lou. She is a permanent resident at the rescue due to a reoccurring sebaceous cyst. Unfortunately she has had to be taken to the vets after her cyst burst . Apart from draining and cleaning it - there isn't much the vet can do at the moment. She's now receiving lots of care to ensure the wound is kept clean and doesn't become infected as well as anti biotics. She is still running around as normal and eating - acting her usual self. Just unfortunately she has a large (and extremely smelly) hole in her leg. With our care here at Tameside Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue- she will receive lots of attention to get her well again and continue her life with her friend Maggie (who also has medical problems).
