This entry is on behalf of Tameside Rabbit Rescue

These two gorgeous babies are now four weeks old and have been hand reared since they were two weeks, after their mum died. Unfortunately she had been used for breeding purposes when she was brought to the rescue, and had had many litters resulting in complications. Not all the litter has survived but with lots of care and attention these two continue to thrive, with the dedication of syringe feeding to ensure they receive substitute milk. We are hoping they continue to grow big and strong and can be rehomed after staying a little longer at the rescue to ensure full health. They will be rehomed together to an indoor home as they currently receiving lots of human attention for feeds and are very relaxed and friendly in a home environment.

Warwickshire Rabbit & Guinea Pig SOS would like to enter our little lady Bella for Rescue Rabbit of the Month
Bella was one of the 8 rabbits rescue/recovered on Easter Sunday this year
Bella has genetic dental issue and as well as having 4 missing molars she needs to have her 4 front teeth removed :-(
Bella has just had her spay operation and will be returning to our fantastic vets once she has healed and put on a little more weight

Good luck to Dougal, Violet, Tameside babies, and Bella. All worthy entries.
It's good to see on this thread, all the various rabbits and guinea pigs that have been rescued from dire circumstances, who are now being cared for. It gives an insight into the hard work the Pledge a pound rescues do too.

Flash came into the shelter at the beginning of the year with his brother Kye. Kye was very quiet and did not want to move much, so he was taken to our vets where we were told he had hydronephrosis. Sadly Kye had to be put to sleep.
Another one of our male pairs (Stanley) also died, so we decided to try and bond the 2 remaining guineas, which was a success. Only about two weeks after the bonding did we notice that Flash had lumps on the back of his legs. The vets have diagnosed him with lymphoma. The vets said that this sort of cancer is extremely rare in guinea pigs. Flash now has to have steroids for the remainder of his life. I hope he will continue to be with us for a long time. The vets could not give an estimate time, as they said it varies on every individual. :(
