Aww thank you so, so much Pap!! Brownie will be absolutely thrilled!!! He can share his goodies with all the rest of the Fat Fluffs and current residents at the rescue :) All the nominees were worthy winners and I'm glad they have found themselves in the safe hands of other amazing rescues. Thank you for your lovely comments Sue, having one eye certainly hasn't stopped our little Brownie! xx

As we have now announced the winner of the Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the month for January - Brownie from Fat Fluffs, we are now opening up this thread for entries for the February Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month.

All our 21 Rescues are welcome to enter, even if you have won before. Your entry must include the animal/s story and at least 1 photo (but more is good), you have until midnight on 31st January to get your entries in here. Entries can only be accepted from the 21 Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group that live together.

The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of February and will win a £20.00 supermarket gift card for the Rescue to buy greens, herbs, supplies etc for the winner and the other animals at their Rescue :)

This entry is on behalf of Bow Bunny Rescue

Bow Bunny Rescue would like to enter Lucy into the Rescue Rabbit of the month for February.

Lucy came into rescue last Sept fully matted and unable to move properly due to her matted coat . She's had to be shaved and her coat is an ongoing challenge to give her the coat she should have.
She's 2.5yrs old lion head cross angora

This entry is on behalf of Warwickshire Rabbit & Guinea Pig SOS

We would like to enter Felicity into the Rescue Rabbit of the Month for February.
Felicity, Chunk and Eddie were born in our Rescue after their mum Annabelle came in to us. Annie as we have called her is now bonded with my own house rabbit, and stayed with Annie even after she gave birth and helped with raising these kits.
Annie the Mum will never leave here due to her head scan, but her babies Felicity, Chunck & Eddie once neuted and fully vacc will be offered for adoption. They are 12 weeks old.

We would like to enter Dory into rescue rabbit of the month. Dory arrived in foster care at Walsall RSPCA early in January. She had been living in a 5ft hutch with 10 other rabbits, all mixed sex. The rabbits originated from two 'same sex' rabbits purchased from a pet store. Dory is only approx 6/7 months old herself and only days after arriving she gave birth to a litter of babies. She has been such a fantastic mum so far, her babies are nearly two weeks old now. You can tell from Dory's photo how young she is herself, she still has to grow into her huge ears! Dory and her babies will stay with us until they are all neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped before being rehomed. Please keep your paws crossed for our beautiful girl :)

Flutter was born at the rescue on 22nd November, her mum and dad were part of a group living rough in someones garden, sadly many other babies born to her parents were killed by cats with the exceptional of her older brother, Fury who I'm currently fostering and another baby, named Flounder who we rescued but was too weak to survive. There was another doe with the two adults who had multiple wounds and abscesses, she was sadly put to sleep.
Flutter is adorable and has a lovely calmness about her, it's as though she's wise beyond her years.
