Acupuncture

Post by kermit »

I am off to the Vets for Inca's Acupuncture at 5pm. Does anyone else's bunnies on here get acupuncture?

It is rather expensive (£55 a time!), but then it is covered by Petplan :)

I've not taken any rabbits, but had a course myself which helped my migraine :)

Hope you get some good results :)

It might be because of the weather being colder too, is it for arthritis?

Aaaaaw bless her, none of my rabbits have had it, but I have it to help my Fibromyalgia and our old dog Ruby had it for arthritis in her back legs.

It has been colder, but she is indoors and I have their radiator slightly on in their room so dunno if she willbe feeling cold. I really hope that she gets a bit more mobile cos she looks a sorry wee soul with her opposite leg right out under her and her bun sliding along the floor :(

O do know of a disabled rabbit who benefited from acupuncture. I hope it continues to help Inca. What age is she? (Sorry, not very polite to ask a lady her age.)

I really dunno what age she is, I got her from Kay at Bunnyhops, she was an RSPCA cruelty case. I have had them for 2.5years, and she was estimated to be about 3 when I got her, so maybe 5 or 6, or maybe even more!

Oh, and Inca doesn't mind me disclosing her age :)

Have you tried doing some shiatsu on her between sessions? Shiatsu stimulates the accupressure points without the needles.. you could gently work on the bladder meridian (either side of the spine) it might help?
