She would like to be entered for bunny of the month !
I have fostered Snow and her partner Tianna on & off for the past two years - before a new home, and again when the new home fell apart. Snow was blind with mature cataracts in both eyes and partially deaf.
About a month after they had returned to me I went out to give them breakfast and found Snow’s right eye full of blood. We visited the vet, who prescribed eye drops, pain relief and antibiotics and booked us in with a specialist, advising we may need to remove her eye.
Over the weekend, I noticed Snow drastically improve - she began running around the shed when I opened the door - jumping onto hidey boxes and racing around the garden; all things she never used to be able to do.
On return to the specialist she became very excited. Not about the right eye - but the left.
She explained the blood in the right eye was a failed natural occurance of cataracts reabsorbing into the eye & lens - it had became infected and developed an ulcer.
However, the left eye had successfully passed this stage, and Snow had in fact began to regain her vision!
This is very rarely seen in dogs and unheard of in rabbits.
Amazing! Snow is basically a medical marvel, and is now getting her life back on track - by enjoying every bit of sunshine and rain she now can

( pics to follow as soon as I can get them up here ... :/ )
