Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month May 2025

Post by Foofy »

Unfortunately for the first time ever we did not receive any entries last month for the Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the month :( :( therefore we haven't been able to give away a prize and it has rolled over to this month.

We are now opening up this thread for entries for the May Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month.

All our Rescues are welcome to enter, even if you have won before. Your entry must include the animal/s story and at least 1 photo (but more is good ;) ), you have until midnight on 30th April to get your entries in here. Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Only one entry per Rescue please.

Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group of rabbits/ guinea pigs that live together.

The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of May

If anyone needs help uploading their entry and or photos to the forum please let me know.

The winner will receive a prize similar to the photo below

THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF MARIAS ANIMAL SHELTER

Can Marias Animal Shelter please enter Gus for the Guinea Pig of the month for May.
Gus came in at the beginning of February. His previous family did not realise that Gus could not eat very much and that his teeth were curling around into the back of his mouth. Fortunately we took him to our vets in time. Moving to now, Gus is doing very well. He has no bottom teeth, possibly due to a trauma and his top incisors have stopped growing, thankfully.

Here's Gus before and after his vet visit

Windwhistle Warren would like to enter Forrest, he is 10 years old. Unfrortunately his beloved wifebun Jenny died and his parents do not want to continue with rabbits. They know Forrest needs a friend, so he has returned to us to find one ❤️
