As we have now announced the winner of the Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the month for April, Sienna from Halfpenny Farm Animal Sanctuary see her story by clicking on the link below.

We are now opening up this thread for entries for the May Rescue Rabbit/Guinea Pig of the Month.

All our Rescues are welcome to enter, even if you have won before. Your entry must include the animal/s story and at least 1 photo (but more is good ), you have until midnight on 30th April to get your entries in here. Entries can only be accepted from the Rescues/Sanctuaries that Pledge a Pound supports, and must be placed as a reply to this thread.

Only one entry per Rescue please.

Your entry can be a single rabbit or guinea pig, or it can be a pair or group of rabbits/ guinea pigs that live together.

The winner will be chosen by the Pledge a Pound Team at the beginning of May.

If anyone needs help uploading their entry and or photos to the forum please let me know.

THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF WINDWHISTLE WARREN RESCUE


Windwhistle would like to enter Libby. She came into the rescue after being attacked by Guinea pigs. Unfortunately her owner at the time wasn’t aware not to mix them both. She had wounds all over her lower back, but despite this she’s a lovely friendly girl. All wounds have healed well and her fur is growing back. Libby is 6 months old and got rescued from being put to sleep by a vet nurse, as owners couldn’t afford the vet bills.

THIS ENTRY IS ON BEHALF OF HALFPENNY FARM ANIMAL SANCTUARY

I would like to nominate Mistle and Mavis on behalf of Halfpenny-Farm Animal Sanctuary for the Rescue Guinea Pigs of the month for May. They were dumped on a lady’s doorstep as babies with mites, before they came to the Sanctuary. They were quite poorly when they arrived but are doing great now! Here they are
