In May, Beloved Rabbits welcomed 20 new rescue bunnies, saw 11 hop off to new homes and we had an additional 29 waiting list requests for a total of 50 rabbits.
We are really struggling to find space for rabbits on our waiting list at the moment - this is generally due to the ongoing rabbit welfare crisis, but also in part due to helping with large cases. One of the recent cases we mentioned recently involving 40+ rabbits has turned into 50+ due to more litters being born. Requests like this put a lot of pressure on us as, whilst they are urgent and we want to help, all these rabbits belonging to a singular owner means it is more difficult to help the hundreds still on the waiting list.
Although unplanned litters aren't good news, the team love caring for the babies and it's lovely to see them come on leaps and bounds from when they first arrive. I've included a photo of the gorgeous Versailles and her adorable babies Niagara, Sagrada, Buckingham and Triomphe, who are all settling in to foster beautifully.
