Baby Blue Bee Bunnies April update

Post by BabyBlueBeeBunniesLk »

Another very busy month at the rescue.

While surrender requests remain high and adoption applications are still slower than usual, we still had 5 new arrivals and 7 bunnies hop off to their forever homes. Lots of spring tidy up and maintenance also keeping the rescue busy.

The Fundraising Team are doing a fantastic job, with our best ever auction to date, and now planning the summer activity.
Our events team have been out and about chatting to loads of people on all things rabbit welfare. With the Glasgow vegan festival, Lush charity pot day and local events to name a few.

You may have heard us on the Radio Scotland good morning show too with Kaye Adams.

We had our 1st of the season grooming days at the rescue as we are now in fly season and rearguard is a must with over 20 bunnies getting a spa session on the day. Not sure they fully appreciated the 5 star treatment they received though :D ;)

We also had our vet students learning all things hands on with bunnies. Supporting the education of the next generation of vets is very important to us. We are always oversubscribed for the placements we can offer.

April also seen our annual licence inspection from South Lanarkshire Council, under Scottish licensing regulations, and we passed with flying colours.

So a very busy and productive month.

May will be another super busy month while we prep for our 2 week closure at the beginning of June.

Thanks to all at the PaP team for their continuing support of the rabbits at Baby Blue Bee Bunnies, We as always value it highly.
