Beloved Rabbits December Update

Post by fb_x »

In 2022, Beloved Rabbits took in a total of 223 surrendered rabbits and we're delighted to have seen 207 hop off to new homes. Unfortunately we had 526 rehoming requests for a total of 909 rabbits.

Thanks to Pledge a Pound for your support and Christmas wishlist parcel - with the rabbit welfare crisis ongoing and expected to get worse, we appreciate every penny and have never needed it more! Thank you for making a difference to the lives of the bunnies in our care.

We wanted to share a happy story to round off the year. We previously posted about the case we dealt with of Angel and the Coffee litter, which was an extremely upsetting case as the mum Angel passed away a day after entering the rescue, leaving her 8 kits orphaned. Thanks to the care and dedication of their foster carer, the kits have thrived and we managed to get them all into new homes for Christmas. This case touched the hearts of our volunteers, as evidenced by the fact that 4 kits found their forever homes with volunteers! We couldn't be happier to see these very deserving bunnies hop off to new lives in loving homes after their particularly rough start in life. Pictured below are Coffee and Espresso, who are loving life with our volunteer Mary.

Happy New Year and all the best for 2023!
