Baby Blue Bee Bunnies Dec 22 update

Post by BabyBlueBeeBunniesLk »

It's been a very busy time at BBBB. Unfortunately the cost of living crisis continues to apply huge pressure on rescues ourselves included. Both from a spiralling cost perspective and from demand for our services increasing exponentially. Bunnies coming into rescue are needing more extensive vet treatment as their previous care givers have struggled with vet bills etc.
In 2022 though we have saved over 100 bunnies and just as importantly we have seen over 100 bunnies hop off to their forever homes., with a humongous 19 going off to their forever homes in December alone.
Like all reputable rescues we don't adopt bunnies for Christmas, but many of our adoptions are several months in planning and we also have a number of adopters who return time and again to us.

Our Education work has been forefront of all our endeavours and planning with our Better Bunny Budgeting campaign being our best engaged campaign to date in October.
On the 12th of December we participated in the 1st collaboration of the SAWE members, (Scottish Animal Welfare Educators) which ischairedby the SSPCA, for a virtual event for School children. It was well received and attended.

On the 3rd of December we held our 1st Face to Face AGM meeting since the pandemic, it was fantastic to get in a room, with some further a field volunteers joining by zoom, to celebrate our hard work and successes and look forward to what is going to be an exciting 2023.

We have some very exciting things happening in the early months of 2023 so watch this space.
