Beloved Rabbits November Update

This month Beloved Rabbits took in 19 surrendered rabbits, rehomed 17 to happy homes and sadly had an additional 42 rehoming requests added to our waiting list for a total of 66 rabbits.

We continue to face huge pressure for rescue space and this is made even more difficult by having limited funds to treat the rabbits already in our care - to combat this we have launched a Winter campaign asking our supporters to contribute towards the cost of routine treatment. We are pleased that it has been successful so far, although we're still a long way from having the amount we need to comfortably afford all our upcoming vet bills.

We also had our annual volunteer conference, the Hop Huddle, on Sunday 20th November which was a great success. Many of our volunteers showed up to hear talks from our vet partners Madonna Livingstone and Krissy Green at Ark Vets, who are exotic specialists, and delivered excellent workshops on acute and chronic pain as well as rabbit acupuncture and diet advice. We also held other workshops for the various volunteer teams and had some fun activities to take part in throughout the day. Our volunteers had a great day as well as improving their bunny knowledge!
