We had a busy month in April with 8 bunnies coming into the rescue and 12 finding their forever homes.
We had 30 added to our list, the post lockdown companion animal boom is definitely now fueling a huge surge in unwanted bunnies as is the cost of living crisis. Unfortunately this is resulting in a number of dumped bunnies which is heartbreaking.
We also had amazing news this month, we have reached the finals of the PetPlan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards 2022 volunteer team of the year. With over 6000 different animal organisations nominated to be in the final 3 is an enormous achievement and we are immensely proud. The winner is announced in London on the 18th of May so wish us luck.
We are also working actively on our welfare campaigns with some large projects landing over the course of the next 6 to 12 months. You may have already seen some of our #breakingbunnybehaviourbarriers and #bunnywelfareimprovementmovement posts and our simple swaps.
