Apologies for the delay in this month's update! In April we took in 22 rabbits and saw 18 hop off to forever homes. Unfortunately we also had 49 rehoming requests for a total of 71 rabbits!
Last month we spoke about the difficulties we and other rescues are experiencing with regards to rabbit welfare and the overwhelming demand for rescue space, and we have now introduced our Rabbit Welfare Crisis campaign to target this huge issue (full details are on our website at https://belovedrabbits.org/rabbit-welfa ... -campaign/). We're also working on a new initiative which offers owners and adopters additional options and will enable us to help many bunnies currently 'stuck' on our waiting list until we have space in our foster care network for them. We will share more details on this soon!
We also mentioned that we continue to have a good demand for adoptions, and to support this we will soon be actively recruiting for another Adoption Coordinator to join the team.
