This month we have taken in 17 surrendered rabbits and have seen 14 hop off to their forever homes.
As advised in the last update, we have been lucky enough to be selected as one of the eight charities to receive a share of £20,000 from the Gannett Foundation as part of their Cash for Charities grant award. Shares of the prize fund are based on the number of newspaper tokens collected by charity supporters, so we have set up collection boxes in Kirkintilloch and have been urging our volunteers and supporters to drop in with their tokens - we also have the bonus of being able to use donated whole newspapers to line litter tray and carriers for our rescue buns! We will hopefully be able to share the proportion we receive in next month's update.
We have also been working behind the scenes on our Christmas merch and have recently released a range of adorable 'Hoppy Holidays' themed jumpers, Christmas cards, and more on our website to help us drum up some much needed funds to care for the rabbits over the winter months.
