Baby Blue Bee Bunnies October 21 update

Post by BabyBlueBeeBunniesLk »

Another busy month at BBBB.

We took in 13 more bunnies added 9 to our waiting list and had 15 hop off to their forever homes.

With sadness We have to say the gorgeous Birrus, a tiny victim of extreme breeding, had to be let go. The genetic condition that came as a result of breeding flatter faced bunnies with more protruding eyes, caused him to have severe issues in both eyes. Specialist vets at RDV in Edinburgh advised We had no alternatives open to us and the news broke our hearts. News on Blossom was also very sad. Despite getting her through the health issues she arrived back to us with, she has developed severe dental disease, another issue of extreme breeding, and is now on palliative care on advice of our amazing vets.

Fundraising is going to be key for us in November as our vet bill for Birrus and Blossom are enormous and we have 5 oops litters to be prepared for adoption in Nov and Dec.

We have our winter auction going live
Our vintage clothes fair
Our winter gift guide on our shop.

We finished our new rescue enclosures in October too which we are delighted by.

November will be a month of 2 halves as we close for 3 weeks then open with a shop restock, surrender in-take, vintage clothes fair and getting our pre-orders out from the gift guide.

As always we are immensely grateful to the team at pledge a pound for all of their on-going support and help.
