This month we have taken in 21 new arrivals and seen 17 bunnies adopted to new homes. Unfortunately we have had another 30 additions on the waiting list although we generally see an increase at this time of year so this is not unexpected, and not helped by Covid as families are finding themselves with no other option than to surrender their pets sadly.
We are finding that many of the rabbits coming in to us are poorly - again not completely unexpected at this time of year - however we currently have 11 rabbits on hold with issues ranging from normal (dental, weight loss etc) to bizarre, for example Darla, whose story we have shared on the rescue rabbit of the month thread. As always, we are committed to helping these poor bunnies get better and finding them all fab forever homes once they have fully recovered.
Otherwise this month we have continued to do our best in light of the ongoing restrictions, and hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel now with the vaccine rollout and that all rescues can resume normal service soon.
