Binky Buns - Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue updates - 2021

Post by alicesadventures »

Hi everyone,

We hope that you're all doing ok and managing to stay well and positive in these tough times.

January has been a long month at BB HQ. With the limited sunlight and snow galore, our residents have been being kept warm, well fed and are playful as ever.

We started the month with a lovely story of a failed foster and our Frankie and Elsa now have their forever homes with their original fostered :x We also rescued a little 6 month old girl piggy, who we named Winnie, who was rehomed very soon afterwards - We're so pleased for her :@) Our Steve also celebrated his 10th birthday with us and he decided to use his food bowl as a frisbee all day, and he recieved some extra herbs in lieu of a birthday cake :x Sadly, we lost our elderpig Sybil to old age and our Tink was returned after not settling in his new home. However, as ever, it's onwards and upwards for us.

Sending binkies and popcorns to you all!

Best wishes, Team BB @};- x

Hey everyone,

We hope that you're all doing well.

As ever, February 2021 has been a busy time for Binky Buns. We agreed to a surrender of 2 piggies and 1 bun but we ended up taking 4 piggies - All babies, in varying ages of only a few weeks old. Our fostering team are looking after the older two and the two younger ones were rehomed this weekend. We also took in a handsome piggy boar named Beau. Our lovely new bunny has bern named Pancake, by popular Facebook vote, and she's booked to be spayed in early March. We have a potential home for her so we're keeping everything crossed for that. Our Steve also held a Valentines Day giveaway which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Other that this, we've been working hard to increase our social media presence too.

Until next month, we wish you all safe and secure times.

Best wishes, Team BB @};- x

Hi everyone,

Hoppy March! We hope that you're all doing well and staying safe.

March has brought the usual preparation for Spring bustle. Our Thor boar and Pancake were neutered so our team have been busy with post op care. We're glad to report that both aren't with their bonded partners - Thor with Arna and Pancake with our recently returned Tink. We also held our Easter raffle and are incredibly for all of our supporters support. Other than this, we've been working hard to keep our residents safe, secure and hoppy.

Until next month, we wish you all a lovely Easter.

Best wishes, Team BB @};- x

Hi everyone,

Happy April! Where is this year going? We're already a third of the way through.

As ever, we've been working hard at Binky Buns HQ. We're so happy to report that Margaret and Beau piggies have fallen in love and have the sweetest bond. They're currently living it up, in their own blissful little bubble. Early April also brought us snow, which Luna thoroughly enjoyed, as well as some nicer weather towards the end of it. Every bunny is ticking over nicely - We have a few of our residents on daily medications so we're working hard to keep them hoppy and comfortable. Sadly, one of our trustees lost one of our rescue hens. She was an ex battery girl, who spent the last 8 months of her life feeling the breeze in her feathers and dirt under her feet. We celebrated National Pet Day, where our online supporters shared beautiful photos of their animal family members. Also, we've just taken in three young piggies so we'll have more news on these little beauties next month.

Until May, we wish everyone well. Love from Team BB @};- x
