It's Team Binky Buns here with our August 2020 update. We hope that everyone is doing well, and keeping safe, in these testing times.
August, as ever, was a busy month in the Binky Bundom. We participated in a the RAW fortnightly virtual event and discussed everything from rabbit housing to welfare to diet - It was one of our first major online campaigns so it was something that we really wanted to get right. We're pleased to say that we had some good interactions and our educational posts were well received. During this event, we also offered a free giveaway competition to further raise awareness around buns and the RWAF's focuses for this year.
Bun wise, we had some brill news in so far as our Tink found his forvever home and went to live with his new wife bun Matilda - He even had a new name change to Rowan to start off his new life. We are super happy for him and long may his happiness continue
We also had a beautiful bun come into our charity named Burt and we supported him through his neuter, vaccinations and an ear flush procedure - There will happily be an update in him in our September post. Piggy wise, everyone is doing well and enjoyed being out in the sunshine and nibbling on all of the yummy grass. Although not bun related, we also celebrated International Cat Day as we have five rescue cats at BB HQ - We are happy to say that our rabbits and cats get along very well and we are convinced that they will eventually become crabbits!
One of our trustees also rescued three ex-battery hens who were on their way to slaughter!Here's to September!
