We are going in again tomorrow to take out another 40.
Sadly they can't be re home soon as most are likely to be pregnant and the boars need neutering :(

it really is :( today we are hopefully getting out another 40. Only 14 ( only ! ) of those will be staying with us..the rest are going to two other rescues who will neuter the boars and homecheck for future homes :)

I hope you were able to remove the rest of the guinea pigs today, sending lots of "not pregnant" vibes x

We took our 49 today some in a bad way :(
Most of the adult sows are heavily pregnant and some will give birth in next few days by look of them
2 sows had to be rushed to vet as had bad wounds and eyes damaged or missing :(
A very sad little sow, Chevette. She was pulled out with blood running from bite wounds she has a recently emptied eye socket, mite infestation and weighs half her normal weight. She was taken straight to vet and is now on pain relief and anti biotics. When fit enough she needs an op to tidy her eye socket.

and shown here with little babies, sex unknown. Lancia, Simca, Skoda, Toyota and Scirocco.
the babies were with Chevette and Verona but neither sow is the mother the babies are only about 10 days old so have gone to our rodentologist friend to be hand reared and cared for

Image

Sow with damaged eye that also saw vet as wounds. Her eye will also need removing but not until she is stronger, Verona

Image

and state of her back

Image

Small boar with wound on face, Touran

Image

another small boar, Toledo

Image

4 little boars, Astro, Rebel, Cadilac and Kadett

Image

Some of the heavily pregnant sows are underweight and suffering from mites and bites. General very poor condition.

Our piggies from this rescue are doing well, they've all been treated for mites, sadly they are absolutely petrified as expected :( They are all eating well and are growing nicely :) I have two of the adult boys indoors at mine, I heard them talk for the first time today :x

Thank you so much to you Jill for getting all of these sweeties out of that horrid place xx
